From SPM or IGCSE to studying in Austria and Germany

For many students, studying overseas is about more than just getting a degree.

You want to experience life in another country, meet people from around the world, gain international work experience and, hopefully, start your career overseas after graduation.

But popular study destinations can be expensive. And even after graduating, finding a job and staying on can be another challenge.

Austria and Germany offer another option. You can get a quality education with relatively low tuition fees, while gaining the opportunity to build your career in Europe after graduation.

The Express European Pathway (EEP) helps SPM and IGCSE students take that first step towards studying and building a future in Austria or Germany.

Must I learn German?

German language preparation is part of the programme, so you can start learning while you’re still in Malaysia.

And depending on your chosen degree, you can explore English-taught or German-taught programmes.

So you can work towards your European degree and your German skills at the same time.

Get more than a degree

Get experience too

One of the biggest reasons to study overseas is the experience you gain along the way.

At our partner universities, learning isn’t only about sitting in lectures.

Depending on your programme, you may get opportunities for:

Hands-on projects

Put what you’ve learnt into practice

Internships

Experience what it’s like to work in a real company

Industry projects

Work on practical and relevant projects which are connected to the industry

Part-time work

Students can work up to 20 hours per week

International exposure

Study, live and work alongside people from different countries.

Because when you graduate, you want more than a degree on your CV.

Your experience helps give you an edge.

And what happens after your Bachelor's?

Work in Europe

After graduation, you can stay for up to 12 months in Austria or 18 months in Germany to look for a job.

Of course, finding a job isn’t guaranteed. Your opportunities will depend on your qualifications, skills, language ability, the job market and the immigration rules that apply to you.

And here’s something you will probably want to know.

FH Upper Austria reports a 99% graduate employment rate.

Of course, that doesn’t mean every student is guaranteed a job.

But it does give you an idea of how strongly the university focuses on preparing students for employment.

Another option is to further your studies. Since Austria and Germany are both in the EU, you can also explore opportunities to continue your studies in other EU countries.

On top of that, you’re not limited to one university. You can also explore other public universities across Austria and Germany, giving you more options for your next step.

Moving overseas is a big step

Moving overseas sounds exciting.

But it can also be a little scary.

Where will you stay?

How do you apply for your residence permit?

What happens when you arrive?

What about your bank account and insurance?

That’s where we come in.

  • University and course selection
  • Academic preparation
  • German language classes
  • Application guidance
  • Visa guidance
  • Accommodation guidance
  • Pre-departure preparation
  • Intercultural preparation
  • Travel preparation
  • Airport transfer
  • Residence permit guidance
  • Bank account
  • Insurance
  • On-the-ground support

From Malaysia to Europe, we’ll help you take it one step at a time.
