Malaysia’s trusted A Level German Pathway blends A Level academics with intensive German language classes to ensure you meet all A Level requirements and secure your admission to the best German universities.
Starting from SPM/IGCSE/O-Levels, complete 18 months at Methodist College (KL or Penang) and a 9-month preparatory programme (3 months in Petaling Jaya, 6 in Aachen, Germany).
You’ll then embark on a 3–3.5-year Bachelor’s degree in Germany—with the option of a tuition-free Master’s or receive up to 18 months to search for a job.

Complete secondary school.
A Level German Pathway Programme
(15 – 18 months)
Complete your A Level at Methodist College (KL and Penang branch) and learn German at the same time.
University Preparation Programme
(9 months)
Continue to the University Preparation Programme right after completing your A Level.
The first 3 months will be in Petaling Jaya, Selangor while the following 6 months will be in Aachen, Germany

What is the requirement to join the A Level German Pathway programme?

Other Qualifications
Other qualifications which are recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
Notes
Credit in respective science subjects is required for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Credit in Additional Mathematics is required for Mathematics and Computer Science.
When is the deadline to apply?
The deadline depends on the campus and location. Do contact us for the exact dates.
In general, registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Students are encouraged to apply early as there is a quota for every subject and students are not allowed to take that subject if it is full.
Can I choose four A level subjects instead of three?
German universities only require for A level students to take 3 subjects. Hence, students are advised to focus on three A level subjects so that they can focus and score well as well as spend more time with learning the German language.
What happens if the subjects I want to take are not offered as part of your combination?
Speak to our study advisors and they will advice the best combination based on what you want to study.
Can I join this programme if I have prior knowledge of the German language?

Can I still study in Germany if I do not want to take the German language subject during my A level studies?
Yes, you may take A level without learning the German language now, and join our University Preparation Programme upon completion of your A Level.
